Second, I'll be posting a sketch a day, until the end of the this year. Some will be very quick and dirty, so have a little more detail than others, and from time to time, as time allows, I'll post finished pieces.

Third, any of you single ladies like dirty old perverted men, go check out , ....just kidding, I was actually talking about myself....even us old perverts need lovings too and I'll be travelling to a city near you sometime this year. Dallas, Boston, Chicago, Seattle, Spokane, Charlotte.....and possibly a few more, but of course my native town of Portland....

Time to reflect on the year past....2009 has definately been a rollercoaster ride, for sure. There were some good times, and some bad.

The bad:
Losing my job after being there for 12 years
Major House issues
Being bit by an Iraqi Dog...fuggin taliban
and divorce after 8 years of being together....strike 2

The Good:
Decent severence package that allowed me to be on Vacation for about 5 months
Fixing most of the major house issues
Mini Series for RED5 Comics - one of the best smaller companies out there, I might add
Great Friends (new and old)
Lining up more work for 2010

The last one is probably the most important. I was sweating bullets there for a while, wondering what I was going to do after I finished up Drone. But luckily, there are a couple other publishers out there that seem to like my crap enough to give me some more work. AND they are even going to PAY me...imagine that.... I also have a SEXY ANGELS trading card set in the works, which some of you may have seen some of the base cards already that Sanchez and Mike did. There's also some other guest artists in the set, to include a couple people that you may know:



Just to name a few....also, is doing all the colors on MY base cards. There will be a total of 50 cards in the base set - 25 by me, and 25 by guest artists. Look for more info around spring of 2010 for more info. Right now we are looking to release only 1000-1500 sets....but, if there is enough interest, we may double that - but no more than 3000 sets....want to keep it somewhat a collectible item.

Plus, I will probably look to do a hardbound Sketchbook for 2010....collected works over the last decade or so, to include published stuff, and never before seen stuff....

As far as the books go, it appears that there will be at least 7 books next year. So next year looks to be a busy year....which will be a good thing....maybe I'll make it as a comic book artist yet....

Here's to a better year in 2010 - and an FU to 2009.....

Serious headache going on....and too much work to do.....Migraines suck ass. Would really like for someone just to remove my head....would relieve so many OTHER headaches in my life at the moment as well.....argh.

Halfway thru wrapping up DRONE 4 btw, and driving absolutely crazy....but hey, what are friends for, right? Speaking of, DRONE 2 should be out the last week of December - thinking the artwork is a little better in this one, although somewhat rushed....issue 3 was 6 months in the making....fuggin A....life just reaches out at kicks ya when you least expect it.

Had some cell phone issues - where mine took a total crap, and lost every single contact I've ever had over the last three years....nothing was saved to my sim card - yay....fuggin technology....and then last friday during our mid 20's heat wave, my water pipe under my deck decided to burst - luckily it was 30 degrees out, and I was rolling around in ice cold water and mud....good times right there.

I do have another mini series lined up after DRONE, and I'll make an announcement after the first of the year on what, and who that series is for - but it looks like I'll be employed for another 4+ months - which is always a bonus when one can rely on a paycheck

Considering doing the DCC (Dallas Comic Con) in late January - if I can swing the airfare that is....tables look to be relatively cheap for the weekend though. Trying to convince that he should come hang out for the weekend with me, order up some cheap wine and women....okay, so maybe some cheap wine....like Maddog.....mmmmm....ack

okay, enough whining and crying, and I think the migraine meds are starting to kick in....or is that the whiskey? Either/or....it's good to be the boss....now if I could just find me a cute horny secratary that works for free.....
